[Rinoa Heartilly - 003 Action/Video] This can't be a coincidence, can it? (Goldenrod)

[Her pokemon are all lined up neatly in a row and after panning over the group Rinoa turns her pokegear so that she can look into the camera herself. There's a confused look on her face.]

Is it common for a trainer to end up catching only one gender of pokemon?

[Because as she realized recently, she's only had luck catching female pokemon so far. Rinoa might only have five, but they're all girls. That can't be normal can it?]

[Action]
[As she turns the feed off, her pokemon basically swarm at her. Sunny hopping up for her to catch at about the same time as Lady decides to latch onto her shoulder and Angel settles onto her head. Ele, not to be left out practically twines around her ankles and even her newest pokemon decides to get in on the action by claiming her other shoulder. Unsurprisingly, thanks to the literal avalanche of enthusiastic pokemon, Rinoa ends up sprawled on the ground, but at least she catches her sunkern first!]

Alright you guys, get off! Come on! What were you thinking? Let me up!

[Only she can't stop giggling, so clearly it doesn't bother her that much.]

Hmm, I don't believe so. Perhaps it's just luck.

I have seven right now myself, and five of them are girls.

I don't think that has much to do with it... Unless you mean eggs.

But, if you really find no boys, could you not see if teaming up with another breeder produces anything?

No, I haven't seen anything about that rule...

Although, it probably is a little harder. After all, your pokemon will likely bond with one another, but unless you travel with someone, it won't interact with someone else's team too much...

That does sound like a good plan!

I enjoy my pokemon's company, but I admit, it would be nice to have someone to share the trip with, and the experience of raising them.

That's true- especially if you raise types that work well together!

[And such considerations carry her smile through the question, and she manages to keep it with her nod.]

I'm afraid so, there's no one here I am familiar with.

Oh? How curious... I haven't heard of such a thing before, except.

It wasn't a trick by a pokemon, was it?

Then- did you figure out who the someone here is?
